Raised in Hell Julia Madeleine “The Devil’s Music” series

Have you read the synopsis of this series yet? Julia Madeleine has put together a series that is a fun, engaging read and you do not have to be a fan of music to enjoy it. Okay, I love music and that is an added benefit. If I can get her on my blogtalk show, The G-ZONE, sometime soon one of the questions I am going to ask her is:”Did you have more fun doing the research or writing this?” Each installment is going to have a different historical musical figure in it. This is the second work of…

Reviews

Yeah! I just received my first glowing review for "The Pirate's Daughter And A King's Ransom" from someone I don't know! It is wonderful when your friends tell you they love it, but you can't help thinking that they may be a little biased because they are you friends. Woo Hoo!

Molly Edwards Guest Post

First, I'd like to extend gratitude to Giovanni Gelati for allowing me to yap to ya'll today, and to ask ya'll to bear with this southern gal, as this is the first guest post I've ever written.

I started blogging in August of 2009 with no intention of taking it as far as I have. I simply read a book one day, loved it so much, and hoped on Amazon to post a review of it. While there, I looked at some of the other reviews, and…

Trestle Press & QR Codes (what the heck are they?)

Starting today just about every author involved with Trestle Press will have a QR code for their work, not just their novels, novella’s and digital short stories, but also their own blogs, websites….What exactly is a QR Code? Here is a little something from Wikipedia I hope that will help to explain it and then I will go into how and why we are implementing this immediately:

“A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) that…

A New World Of Publishing Is Emerging At A Rapid Rate.

This new world is electronic books, and right now the paper book publishers are biting their fingernails and pulling their hair out by the roots. They're simply not going to publish a new author's book without it being a sure fire bestseller, which only leaves you with all those many rip-off publishers, and the worse one of all is Publish America! They will steal your dreams, your novel, and they may never pay you any royalties. I welcome…

Allan Leverone "The Darke Affair" Paul D. Brazill's "Drunk on the Moon" series

The “Drunk on The Moon” series has quickly become a fav of mine. The installments are slated to hit once every three weeks, next up for the fourth installment is B.R. Stateham;it is a barn burner, and it comes in at about 11,000 words. But I digress, sorry. Allan Leverone was nice enough to helm the third installment and he does a great job dancing between the noir and the horror. He uses a deft hand in continuing the series and giving us another facet to the character and better…

Createspace and Authorhouse

There are several ways of self-publishing the paperback of your books. I have used two of them myself and went for the second after I was not fully satisfied with the first.

Commas with Therefore and Too

Therefore and Too are conjunctive adverbs, and they cause a lot of problems with commas. Before we look at using commas with therefore and too, we need to understand conjunctive adverbs and what they do.

What Conjunctive Adverbs Do

A conjunctive adverb shows how the idea in one sentence or independent clause…

"Brit Grit" Paul D. Brazill

Paul D. Brazill has become a very popular guy this summer. Today, Weds. August 17th I am going to be handing my blog over to the man’s work to highlight it. He has penned the “Drunk on the Moon” series that has just been on fire since the first installment and has not let up at all. Now he has put out a little something he calls “Brit Grit”, a group of short stories. Both words in the title are very appropriate. The wording has a decidedly British feel and it does…

Heart's Paradise

Oh my Lady, how my soul does cry for they

and this mere shell of a man

hunger for the intimate touch

of your lips upon mine

and skin touching skin

which will ignite

the flames of such passion between us.

Trust in me, my Lady...My Love,

open your heart and soul to me,

as we give ourselves to each other

upon this night of whispers of affections

and burning desires enchanting us.

Let me guide you down the path of our…

The Rabbit King

There once was a newly chosen king over the great United Rabbit Kingdom. This new king was such a smooth talker, he could convince the rabbits that skunk weeds taste like carrots. The liberal rabbit news center worshiped the rabbit king, and every hour they polished his golden crown.

The king offered change, such as free carrots and cabbage for all the rabbit citizens. The happy citizens loved their new King,…

Ed & Eunice Vought "Time of Maturing" Best Friends series #4

Questions abound: what is this about (see the synopsis below)? Is this a YA thing(Yes!) What is the deal on this series? The deal here is that the Vought’s have co-written a full length series that revolves around the life of teens and they are trying to send a positive message with this: growing up is hard; it is difficult, and at times very awkward. No news there right? The news though is in the manner in which they tell it, let it unfold, and shed light on it, that is the difference maker…

Molly Edwards "The Willow Spring Killer"

Blood, suspense, mystery, intrigue what are you looking for in a good read? Well, this one has them all. Molly Edwards goes for broke in her debut effort and delivers the goods, in spades. I can say I was NOT surprised when I got a chance to read this. Her ability to write is evident in the first paragraph. She knows how to create a universe and draw us into her characters’ lives and make us care about them very quickly. I think you have gathered by now that I really enjoy the digital short…

How Much Are You Willing To Pay For Your Dreams by April Pohren

Dreams are priceless, however reaching them and making them a reality can be rather costly.  Why, you ask?  Well, when I say costly, I don’t necessarily speak in terms of money, but rather in heart and soul.

Every single person, in this world, has dreams.  Some may be huge, some may be small.  This varies, mind you, depending on who the person is and where they stand in life.  A person who has known poverty and strife all of their life may dream of the time when they will be able to…
