August 1st, Yeah!!!!!

Only a few more days until the Official Launch of my latest work, the novelette, "Girl in the Mermaid Tail", a dark, teen fantasy.

My stepbrother Kris Moser; a brilliant musician and incredibly wonderful individual in the picture of health, earlier this year, fell victim to an extremely rare autoimmune disorder: NMDA Receptor Encephalitis. As a result Kris has been left with no short-term memory, requiring around the clock care.

100%…

New At This

Waiting to hear from a friend how my draft reads.  After I converted it to pdf, and sent it to her I found many mistakes.  I think they are little ones.  I worry more about the flow of the story than the piddly little brain farts my eyes can no longer see.  Any advice about coping with all my doubts?

Young authors?

Any out there? I'm seventeen and it seems that people are a little bit wither wary or judgemental of us (an observation, not a judgement, I don't claim to speak for everyone, just the people I've personally encountered!) I just wondered what are your thoughts... or are you one and what experieces have you had? Personally I've gotten a bit of a hard time but that's just how things have fallen out for me... perhaps people have been really sympathetic to you? Either way I thought it would be an…

Business Etiquette, Part III

Week three of how companies are showing their apathy for the customer.

4. Human Resources

Okay, think back to the good ol' days and how you used to apply for a job. You probably did something like this: walked into the company, picked up or filled out an application, returned it with your resume, then a week later, called back to…

Joe's Reaction To Mona Lisa: An Excerpt From Chapter 9 Of "The Same Tapes"

Italian woman, your portrait hangs in my mind as a lantern in a lighthouse. Indeed the

“keeper” should have arrived there in the waning daylight then to “turn on” the great lights which

may have guided seafarers who traversed upon nearby waters as the sun’s supplied light was

removed by night’s expected darkness. But should he have arrived late, through whatever reason,

valid or not, he may have grasped the lantern then to grant…

Pacify

Family » by Jo Christian Oterhals)

At some point during this past winter, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could come up with a bunch of songs that I could play on my own, without the need of a backing band. I had always wanted to try my luck at busking, but because of the demands of Poligraf, I…

This song

Trying to make a song, Write down the words that comes to my head

looking far away remembering the words you say

As I go on, I feel that your right with me

A love that conquers all, The greatest love the world should know

Because of you, I have the reason to live in this world

Because of you, I can face any troubles I have

But without you, I am nothing

without you, Im lost

Dont let me go, I wont give up to you oh Lord

You are my…

To Turn Around A True Story

I am a new author and poet, now in a rat race to the top. "Though not that bad, as I love to write and market my ideas and products." I have my own label on honey called “Nubbiebee's Honey”. My book is a children's book titled, "How Bees Came To Make Chili". I am looking for reviews and input on others’ experiences in the world of publishing and marketing. Business Etiquette, Part II

business etiquette pic Last week, I started discussing the problems I've had with businesses and the way they have come to treat people. Before anybody starts saying to me “Stop complaining”, let me point out that I'm not the only one who has run into these problems. I have, however, started tolerating fools and foolish notions less and less as I get older, so more things tend to bother me. And the ever increasing…

  • INTRODUCTION:

Few months ago, many news channels and printing medias gave priority to a news which attracted many people towards it. It created a topic of discussion not only among health professionals but also to civilians interested in health progress. The news reported that a HIV infected baby was ‘functionally cured’ in Mississipi Medical Centre by Dr. Hannah Gay and her team almost accidentally. HOW BIG IS YOUR BOX?

Talk about diminishing venues to speak and sign, difficulty getting book sales and name recognition makes me wonder--how far out of the box are you willing to think?

I live in a small town, pop. 23,000 (Lemoore). Ten miles away is a larger town (Hanford). Forty miles away is the Big City (Fresno).

I lived in the Big City over 25 years and was never able to get a signing or even a book launch. The local…

Business Etiquette, Part I

business etiquette pic In the last month since my move, I've been dealing with various companies in a number of capacities – job searches, account accessibility, billing, etc. The topic I wish to discuss has been hashed over time and again, but this last month, it's really started bothering me.

I'm talking about business etiquette. How businesses relate to their customers. I'd like to discuss five areas…
