Around the Globe with KATIE GANSHERT

The past two days have been extremely warm, so I am so glad this week’s featured author loves ice cream. I also enjoy the fact that she’s from the Quad Cities, where I used to live as a child. I show her around the old familiar places before we transport up to Madison, and order the largest bowls of Babcok…

In The Taste Of The Day (The Idler part 1)

(detail from one of my old kindergarten paintings)

The Idler was born of a combination of concepts discovered while exploring various domains of knowledge during the second half of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s.

« The idler who does not arise when it is time to arise, who is full of sloth though young and strong, who…

The Case of Kacey

The following below is another piece, but it is from the second book, which will be Chronicles of the character and will be the missions and stories that lead up to who he is now:

It was another one of those days for Taylor – going into work and doing the routine thing at Guardian Sektor Labs Inc. (G-SEK Link) – being the founder and CEO, ensuring the proper research and development was being done.  They have had a pretty good year so far.  They were getting the…

Prequel to one of the books I am writing.... Titled "De Ja Vu" (just noticed - asterisks to cursing...are you serious!?)

Taylor Lockewelle had finished his glass of rich, bold, and dark Italian Merlot.  The final mouthful he had let sit there for a moment, savoring the flavour while he could.  It was the best wine he’d had in ages.  It was the best ending of the night, considering his day was pretty shitty.

Taylor was a business owner in the research and development sector for the government.  The business, Guardian Sektor Labs Inc., or G-Sek Link, for short, was a major R&D component for everything…

These are the creatures of your neighborhood

Like most boys, my youngest son developed a fascination for dinosaurs. He could name many species before he could read. At some point, I knew I would have to have dinosaurs in The Empyrical Tales. Afterall, I couldn't write a story only for my girls. I had to include things for my boys too!

With only a few days left in the…

When I saw this week’s featured author’s book in my review list I knew I had to invite her for an interview. As you can tell by her picture, she’s into martial arts and in my book that makes her worthy of a little attention (as well as the fact if I tick her off I risk getting hit with those…
