Spring is Near

I can hear it through the trees..Feel it on my feet as the grass brushes over my toes..I can smell it in the air and see it in the sky.

The beautiful flowers are birthing from within their pods and showering me with beautiful colors..

Rich reds, handsome blues, fuschia pinks, and golden hues.

Spring brings about change, hope and promise that just as life goes through seasons; that although things fade away, die in time, there will always be a new coming and we can hold… Continue

Critiques Please

I am looking for critiques of my writings. I am prepared for strong criticism and guidance and thoughts on work.

I need to know if what I am writing are short stories with a beginning, middle and end, or are they a portion of something larger, which needs me to flesh out to accomplish this.

The house sat quiet, awaiting… Continue

How to Write an Ebook that Sells

Everyday there are many people on the Internet that sit at their desk or behind their laptop and think that today is the day that I will write an ebook. This is not going to be a successful ebook, because it takes time, research and planning. However, some people only think of the access they have with the Internet, while not having to face the public and take that as meaning they do not need to do the same amount of research.

Writing an ebook in any genre takes the planning and…

How Important to Book Sales is the Cover?

How important to book sales is the cover? It is one of the most important visual presentations that the writer has to help promote their book. The cover is the first thing that will draw the reader and potential buyer to the book.

What many authors do not stop and think about is that this cover will be what draws many people to purchase their book, because of the artwork on the cover that will entice their imagination. The artwork is rarely done by the author in preparing…

PART ONE

All The Live Ones

Meet Joe

He really wasn't a wise guy. He just thought he was. This was Joe's problem. At the tender age of 41, or was it 42? He thought his world was a mess; and yes it probably was, but he felt sane. He knew that there was more to life than this. He just knew it. He had to believe it. Something, or perhaps…

Why FIRST ROSE is Such a Good Read...Now.

With all the negative things in the world, one needs to be drawn aside to focus their attention on more permanent and happy issues. I know there are those who think it nonsense to consider life after death but Jesus, the greatest teacher who ever walked the earth, promised us eternal life. He said if we believe in Him, we would have eternal life and never die. Of course He wasn't referring to the physical body. All of know we will shed this physical body when it no longer can live on earth.…

Rhetorical Approach to Dealing with Criticism

Have you ever been criticized? Of course you have. Everyone has been criticized at some point. In particular, though, have you ever been criticized for trying something new? Let’s say that you go ahead and do what you want—and it doesn’t work out. You can certainly expect more criticism.

Fortunately, you can use rhetorical strategies in both cases. One strategy is for getting support to do something new, and the second strategy is for damage control when things don’t go as… Continue

Insomniac Paranoia

Horror calls as Darkness falls,
and I am far from sleeping.
Daylight's corpse
claws at my door,
keeping me from dreaming.
How inclement the dark can be
when Midnight's fiends are after me.
Will they ever leave me be?
