I have been in three writer's groups and all are basically ladies. I have no problem with ladies but would like to see more men in these groups. Have any of your men attended a group of at least…Continue

Reading and Writing

The literary world is made up of three distinct groups, they are simply those who read , those who write, and those who do both. I am one who writes...I reserve my reading now, to the bible. Many…Continue

Those That Can, Do. Those That Can't, Teach...or something like that.

Since the problems with writing come in all sorts of sizes and types, I decided the best way to find the answers to my problems was to take the subject of error, by the throat, and teach a classs.

I can tell you it worked. Not only did I uncover a multitude of questions I could not answer appropriately, I also retrieved a lot of answers from my students. These students aren't just "run of the mill" folks. They are ex-school teachers, who have retired; musical talent from…

Read it or write it...the choice is yours of course, but perhaps you must consider both !!

I have finally finished the second book in the trilogy of my clock series, Every Hour Counts. It is called Moving West, as told by Gilbert Clock. I had to read a lot of historical events, year by year, and research the background of people that lived in the town in which both books were based.  What is important here  is not that the book has at last been published, but rather the amount of readiing (research)) that  is involved do  it…

Books Are Good For the Writer's Soul

After losing my first wife to cancer the world seemed to be an alien place. The couples we knew now longer were available, the places we used to go were now off limits for my heart, and the things we shared no longer seemed important.

One day, I decided to go back to something I used to do many years ago. Write!

Since 1999 I have written close to 400 short stories and poems, been involved with couple of small newspapers, and have published seven 3-5 year old…

Glad to hear from you, and yes I am writing. I am on the third re-write of my newest book, which is the second in a trilogy about the life of a 1879 clock made by the Gilbert people. It is about the lives and times as viewed and interpreted by the clock on an every day look at things. The second is probably more well named than the first which sounded like a heart attack "Every Hour Counts"....I am sure a lot of people don't know and didn't check it out. "The Incident" is a murder mystery and doing well. Drop a note.
