- Best of luck to you too, Robert! I think authors.com is a great place to market yourself and meet new people. It's very user friendly. My publisher was authorhouse and they've been great. With the book published comes the real work as I market my book. It's a lot of work, but fun.

Thank you for your most recent feeback. We are in definite agreement on the subject of point of view, especially when it comes to the newbie writer who has not the experience to juggle such in manuscipt format, to the salable satisfaction of editors and publishers at large.
I would further agree that the showing versus telling issue is of crucial importance to anyone trying to break into the true printed book market.

- Mr. Bacon, I just joined Authors.com two days ago and would like to take you up on the offer you had in your comments I guess were to Kay Elizabeth about when to hire an editor or which famous authors used editors by sending you the first twelve pages or so to my first book, Tender Days, that I just completed. This book is a fictional book loosely based on my teenage years. It follows a group of friends in a low to middle income black neighborhood during the seventies as they complete their three years of high school. The book deals with friendships, relationships and the struggles of intergration during that time period.
