"I used to write with music as a background, as a way to get into the world I was telling about. It was a really great feeling.
Now, having a family (which is great as well), I have lost the habit to write with music. And I realize that the…"
"I listen to eclectic selections of music when I write. I draw inspiration from lyrics and the sound itself. Sometimes I switch off all sound and write in complete silence, but often a song "sticks" to my memory of a scene or represents a…"
"I agree with those who say inspiration can come from anywhere. You just need to be perceptive when the Muse strikes you. For years I've used the classic rock music of The Doors, Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult - even EmmyLou Harris to…"
"I always listen to new age music or some kind of holy chanting while I'm writing. It becomes like backround music for the part of the book I'm writing like in a movie. When I go to rewrite a paticular chapter I will start…"

"How did you fix your paragraph? I'm sorry to be critical, but coming from a readers perspective that was really wordy. In my opinion the characters thoughts on what he saw as he looked around might be better. By the way, do you have anything…"
"I wished I could close my eyes and write...but I don't know the keyboard as well as I used to. I used to do so well in typing class in high school. I tried to brush up on my typing skills 10 years ago and it was a horrible experience, it's…"
"Juliet McKenna changes perspective in her books constantly. The central protagonist is referred to be first-person pronouns, whereas the secondary protagonists use third-person.

The secondary character is obviously angry.Or,Opening with an internal monologue from the main character. I also want to switch point of veiws between the main characters, is there a non-confusing way to do this?See More

I am a little concerned, I like the Twilight Saga, but I don't want to be accused of liking drivel. I wrote some fanfiction for Twilight as a contest submission. I said I'd never do it, but I could not resist. I would like someone to read it and give me an opinion on my writing style; I need some critique. I am working on a novel right now and I do not want to post anything original here for fear someone will steal my ideas. I won't to know if I need better discriptions and how to slow things down and let things flow naturally.http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6979679/1/Until_Your_Heart_Stops_Beating I'm not getting any reviewsand I don't understand why. I've had over 200 hits on my story.
