"Good poem. Liked the beginning--nice flow. Thought the 4th line of the 2nd stanza a bit too long, though.  Loved the 4th stanza--the struggle, even though difficult, was worth the view.  Nice poem."

The Mountian and My Friends

The MountainWe three sitobserving the same rock, soil, and treesBut we perceive differently I see a challenge, with hillsides and bottomless lakeswith songs, and dances, midnight romances Growth in comprehending the mountain is the most powerful teacherThese were my good friends indeedBut they just couldn’t consciously seeIt had too many obstacles, to many rocks And stood fiercely intimidating my friends Well, eventually I dragged my friends to the topProving the view was quite a masterpieceAt…See More

Good will conquer evil

I've got to give it to the man wearing the red hoodWith horns of deceit and lies poking about His fist stung as they struck the skinHowever a heart pumped with loveAnd lined with peaceIs golden armor to a silver bullet As a whole we are sturdy as a mountainWhile one may sway in the windStorms will inevitable blow inward Embrace truth and let it guide us to the lightAs if stars of hope burned a h*** in evils darknessIlluminating the sky in the shadows of evils reflection Flowers bloom…See More

Think bigger...no BIGGER

Surrounded by vultures, death resinates; evil impersonates within imprisoned inmatesMind control like mk ultra;oh the devil bought yaA brand new car, two faced wife, and the knife used to slice your own wristYour smile hides the lies, cries n dirty trials and tribulations; insane if you remain expecting gods mercyThirsty people will steal your drink,(wink wink) ... sip away until bone dryNow dehydrated everybody's gone and defiantly not sharing a dropTo top it off, they sit in there loft…See More

Hello everybody @authors.com. I am a fairly new author, obviously I have written throughout my life. But only recently I have focused on getting better and trying more. I like all styles writing but mostly write poetry. Any help or criticism is welcomed, as I would like to better my writing in any way. So for now I'm going to post a few poems out of my 100 poems in two weeks journal. Lol wasn't trying to do this, just had a lot of things going on at the time. Jonathon, welcome aboard authors.com  …from The Chuck!
I write sci-fi novels filled with adventure, mystery, romance, drama, horror, and many more genres all mixed in... Sci-fi for everyone to enjoy. I'm also a published poet. When you have a moment, please check out my Authors page and a few of my videos and blogs I've recently added. Many of my blogs consist of free to read enjoyable sci-fi stories I plan to unite within a book. My newest sci-fi novel is 'They!',  which is related to the 1954 sci-fi classic movie, 'Them!'.

Let me know if you'd like to become friends.
