First and Last

This is fun for me. At about the same time I finish the last part of "An Amish Home", I get to re-visit the first chapter of my first story, "An Amish Journey". "Rest on Grace" is the conclusion of "An Amish Home". Over the course of writing this, the story seemed to find its own direction. Everything kept coming back to the little girl, Ruth. We each have our own story of…See More

The Fall, but it's not Spring yet

Sometimes, we are faced with the inexplicable. Sometimes, things do not go as we planned. That does not mean that there is not something better waiting on the other side. In "An Amish Home Volume 7 – The Fall", one of those things happens. Young Ruth and her brother venture off into the woods for some innocent and much needed play time. What happens next is almost a tragedy and Ruth receives an ominous message from the mysterious figure that some have called her guardian angel.…See More

Does It Burn?

1 Corinthians 10:1-13 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these…See More

Away in a Manger

From Matthew 1: 18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that…See More

The same, but different

"An Amish Home - Volume Four - Life on Canvas"is available today and I wanted you to know I did something a little different. In my stories, one of the things I focus on is how outsiders can spiritually benefit from the Amish. "An Amish Journey" was about Allan Howarth giving up everything to move to Karsten Field, which literally set him free. With "An Amish Home", I am exploring…See More

Find It Here

"What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost."  - Luke 15:4-6…See More

Don't Get Lost

That is important to me. It really is.When you have a child, that is something you think about a lot. As a parent, we have to plan, prepare and teach our children everything we can to protect them. Sometimes, that is all we can do and sometimes that is not enough.I have probably always known this, but becoming a father has reinforced it. There is one thing more, and it should be the first thing. Trust God.I could put bars on the windows and my daughter on one of those child leashes, but the…See More

Read freely with Kobo

My publisher told me I was on Kobo now. I think one of my friends in high school played the "kobo" in marching band. When I found out it was not a musical instrument, I discovered it was a Japanese eReader which is huge in Canada and 170 countries around the world. On their website, they say, "Inspired by a "Read Freely" philosophy and a passion for innovation, Kobo is one of the world's fastest-growing eReading services. Read Freely stems from Kobo's belief that consumers should have the…See More

A Triangle of Blessings: Amish, Writing, and Readers

A guest post from Sarah PriceI was first introduced to the Amish when I was only eight years old. It was my grandparents who took me to Lancaster County, PA. I sat between them on the front seat of their Cadillac, bouncing up and down with excitement as we passed each horse and buggy. My grandparents came from a long line of strict Old Order Mennonites. Back in the early 1700s, our ancestors escaped persecution and travelled across the ocean to accept William Penn’s offer for free land in…See More

The Woman in the Corner

Thank you for having me on your blog today. I really appreciate it.I guess when it comes to promoting myself, I am the woman in the corner of a room with a glass of fizz holding a bookmark, hoping someone will notice. So here's my bookmark, and I'm drinking a mug of tea!My name is Amanda J Ward and I am the author of The Thrilling Adventures of Pann Haggerty; a short story series about an Englishwoman of a 'certain' age who takes a year off to travel around America in an RV in search of new…See More

Ten Equals One By Mark Miller

See, that’s a misleading way to start. There are actually eleven of us and twelve stories. I’m talking about a group I fondly refer to as the Authors of One and our series, simply called One. The Authors of One consist of ten authors, plus me. Ten equals one. I think we have the math straight now.In the synopsis, I call it “a spiritual anthology examining True-Life experiences of Authors and their Faith. As the series evolves expect to discover what it means to have faith, no matter what that…See More

Nothing is Impossible

An Amish Home. That’s what Allan has now. He found his path and so much goodness came into his life. My new stories are set in Karsten Field about eight to ten years after An Amish Journey. Allan is happily married with two young children. His oldest daughter, Alice, even has a family of her own. Life is good. That doesn’t mean they don’t face any challenges. Sometimes, when life is that good, we need reminders. An Amish Home – Attainable is one of those reminders.Karsten Field is suffering from…See More

George, welcome aboard authors.com  …from The Chuck!
I write sci-fi novels filled with adventure, mystery, romance, drama, horror, and many more genres all mixed in... Sci-fi for everyone to enjoy. I'm also a published poet. When you have a moment, please check out my Authors page and a few of my videos and blogs I've recently added. Many of my blogs consist of free to read enjoyable sci-fi stories I plan to unite within a book. My newest sci-fi novel is 'They!',  which is related to the 1954 sci-fi classic movie, 'Them!'.

Let me know if you'd like to become friends.

Hi George,

Making use of the Internet Social media is like socializing with people you've never physically met, and you don't have to spend any money buying them a drink. I mostly do it to promote my unknown name as a sci-fi novelist, thus promoting the sales of my novels. What I should have done is legally change my name to Herbert George Wells. It's a slow process trying to build up a fan club.  My wife will probably end up with my book profits while my new fans are dancing on my grave. LOL! ...That's life!

Hello George. I am a mother of 3, step mom to 4, grandmother to 15. My husband and I owned 4 restaurants on cape cod, Ma, for over 20 yrs. Accounting is my background but writing is my love. I'm almost finished with my 5th novel, then the hard part, editing.  None have yet been published. I need to work on that now that I have retired.
