Project - Absolute Betrayal

A loving wife and mother struggles with her unexpected feelings for another man.  As she wrestles with her morals and wanting, she will soon find out that the greatest betrayal is not her own!!!

Prologue

It felt surreal to be sitting here on New Year’s Eve with friends and family as if it all didn’t happen.  I could hear the laughter of everyone discussing their New Year’s resolutions.  Each voice had a sense of hope for the possibilities that a new year brings - another opportunity to make their lives better than they were the year before.  I couldn’t.  I was considering how the past year had shaped my life and how I could possibly pick up the pieces and carry on.

“Damn”.

Well there goes the rest of my wine and another designer dress.  Upstairs to change, at least it gives me a reason to leave the party and time to think in peace.  No one else knew and there was no one I could talk to.  It was me that had to figure this out on my own.  God, what a mess it had all become.

23000 words and counting...

Very proud of this most recent accomplishment!  Really feel like I have reached the turning point with this, my first novel.  Does it sound insane to say that I was mad at my main character for the past couple of weeks?  It was like I needed to take a break away from her to analyze her thoughts and decisions and figure out her next course of action.  Even though I already know where I wanted to take her and the story.  I guess it might be a good thing to get caught up with them.  I feel like…

Andrea, top of the universe to you,  and welcome to authors.com  …from The Chuck-master of Science Fiction Fantasy…
I write sci-fi novels filled with adventure, mystery, romance, drama, horror, and plenty of comedy… Sci-fi for every adult human to enjoy. I'm also a well-known published poet. When you have a few free moments, please check out my Authors page and a few of my videos and blogs I have recently added. Many of my blogs consist of free to read enjoyable sci-fi stories that I plan to edit and unite these twenty-two stories within an  eBook titled: 'Epic Marvels'. One of my newest sci-fi novels is titled: 'They!', which is somewhat related to the 1954 sci-fi classic movie, 'Them!' I'm currently working on a sci-fi mystery titled: 'The Mysteries of Fuller Park'.  A fun story based on the ghostly satanic urban legends of Fuller Park, Athens, Texas.

Please let me know if you'd like to become friends.

Hello Andrea.  Welcome.  I am a newbie too.  I am not one for the twitter/facebook scene, but I am willing to learn.  I have finished my book, a fiction piece (Forever Young, The Beginning) set in 18th century Europe, mostly in France.  (259,000 words)  Am now in the unpleasant business of learning how to publish.  Glad to share anything I learn along the way.

Hope this site helps you.

Kindest regards,

Gerry

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for contacting me and sharing your kind words. Yes, it's wonderful being in the "light" again. I'm now able to reflect on that time of my life in a positive way. The experience brought forth a deeper sense of love for my family and friends, to appreciate "wellness" and to value each and every moment I am blessed with. Look forward to keeping in touch. Have a beautiful day. Warm Wishes Bridgette

Hi Andrea,

I remember joining this site a few years ago when you were beginning your novel and were the most active member here. I see from your blog that you probably have published it already, or are very close to doing so. I would love to hear from you to know how this is progressing and I would like to know the title of your book and if you will sell it on Amazon. Congratulations on your endeavour and the best of luck with it. :D Jocelyn
