Well even if not very close to reality, at least crafted well enough so as to be believable. Reality is, like many things, relative.

I write Historical Fiction and have a 10 book Women of Character Series.  Each book is different as to time and place in American history.  Willa, a Civil War drama set in Ohio was my first. Wilderness Princess set in 1790s was my latest to be released.

That's awesome, Marry. What kinds of stories are they, other than historical fiction? Romance?
Comment by Mary Katherine Arensberg on April 23, 2011 at 9:52pm
Anna, I call them 'what if I lived in that particular time' stories.  Everyday women who face what ever life throws at them.  There is romance for what is life with love? They have been called inspirational.  I call them good, nice stories with happy endings - not always what they expected, but enough to be satisfied with! Thanks for asking.

Cool, are they short stories? or full length books?
Comment by Mary Katherine Arensberg on April 24, 2011 at 12:04pm
They are novels, some longer than others.  Whatever it takes for the character to tell her story!  What are you working on now?

I'm doing the final edit on the first book of a trilogy. It'll be coming out some time this summer. It's about your average American teenager who suddenly discovers he's not really so average and has really been kept in hiding. He's really the rightful heir to a kingdom in some other dimension or time and he's been discovered. My editor really likes it.
