Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
Permalink Reply by Amanda Seaton 11 hours ago Why do I write? Well not to many people have asked me this question before. Growing up I noticed that I had a profound interest in the written language, rather it be the newspaper, books, textbooks, or hand written notes. I just loved reading, so I thought to myself. "Wouldn't it be fun to try to write something myself?" Over the years I began having a series of dreams that would repeat themselves a few nights a week, I couldn't figure out what the dreams meant and so I just began jotting them down in a notebook. Eventually after about 8 years I decided to turn those dream entries in my notebook into a novel, and in April I published it. Bottom line is, I now know that the reason why I write is because I was meant to do so. It does so much for me, I have a passion for it and regardless if it sells or not I am still thrilled that I too could put my thoughts into writting.
