Aaron- Honestly, I think bad language would add realism to an urban setting. Without it, it may seem forced. Can you set it up where the character looks badly if and when he/she curses?

Hello everyone, I have just finished writing my second children's book, adventure for ages between 7-13yrs, I had a bad experience with an agency based in NY, which cost me a lot of money but I learnt a valuable lesson, have any of you found an agent yet?, or have you already been published? I would really be interested in how you work out which agency you can trust and which ones you should stay well away from, any idea's would be useful, thanks all

I come from a large family with lots of nieces and nephews so its pretty easy to talk to children and hear what draws them to stories and books. The key is to "listen".

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing good. Thought this might be a good group to join since I do write a book series for beginning readers. I've written what I call a "Read, Recognize, and Remember" series titled "The Adventures of Ernie I Saw." I thought simple, repetitive rhymes with humorous pictures might be the way to go for me. I have sample pages on my website at http://www.wjobooks.com and could use any constructive criticism (good or bad) I can get. Hope you get an opportunity to check them out and thanks everyone.

Hello,

I'm new here.  I write children's books and look forward to hearing from others who write for children.  Do I need to invite members of this group individually to be friends or can I invite all members of the group now?
