I'm 17 years old and I want to publish a book but I'm having trouble getting it done. Any advice would be useful.

I love children and now have the opportunity to try and write books just for them.  My first book Chickendoodle! Where Are You? is now published.  I have set up a website where you can get a feel for the book and read some excerpts from it. Please check it out and let me know what you think.  ChickendoodleWhereAreYou.yolasite.com

Hey all, I am a published children's and young adult author (through a publisher) and an Acquisitions Editor. If anyone needs help or guidance through the process, I would be glad to help.

Hello all, I am new to the site but I love writing children's books. I have just completed my second. The biggest problem I am having, is getting an agent. I am an English woman now living full time in Bulgaria, and most agent ask you to send them 3-5 chapter's with synopsis ans a S.A.E, unfortunately Bulgaria's postal service leaves a lot to be desired, they don;t do S.A.E's. So I am only at the moment able to send my work to those agent who do accept e-mail, which is not ideal, has anyone got any idea's that I might be able to use to get agents to look at my work. I did fall into a trap with a bad agency in New York, who, throw my own stupidity, after signing a contract with them, I had to pay to get my work critiqued, and then they wanted $700 to get my work edited before they would show it to any publisher's, a author friend of mine told me this is not the way things work and advised to to cancel the contract straight away before they take any more money from me, which I did, be careful people there are a lot of scam's out there, and they know you are longing to see your work in print, and take advantage of the situation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how I can best move forward. thanks be lucky

For those who are not interested in self-publishing or can't get in the big publishers, check out www.bqbpublishing.com. It is a Hybrid publisher and they are awesome!
