Do you think it would come natural for a children's book author (or fiction writer for that matter) to write for daily comic strips... let's say talking animals, etc.? Essentially, it is writing a three-act play contained within three or four panels - and doing it 7 days a week. Some comic strips have continuity in that it has a common theme for a select number of days. For it to successful it must have a punchline (or act 3) built in each daily comic and hopefully it is funny or strikes a familiar cord. I've talked to a few writers that tell me that they think it might be difficult to transision from a story book writer to a daily comic strip writer. I was wondering what your thoughts might be.
