Authors.com

Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

I was thinking today about how big the internet is and the vastness of its reach. And then I pondered on how we all find our little corners of happiness on the web. Authors.com is definitely one of mine! So tell me, how did you get here initially and discover our fab community? :D

I found this forum through a lady in the UK, Morgen Bailey at http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/. : )

I was searching for other sites in which to promote my books, my blogs, and to make new acquaintences. Authors.com came up on the first page.

I came across authors.com in hope to find someone who knows what its like to write a novel or even a short story to a poem. I enjoy writing and telling people of my journey's of my mind and to express what life I may have lived as another. I like any and all types of books. I also enjoy writing poetry. I hope one day to become a famous writer.

To be absolutely honest - I'm not even sure what led me here - except perhaps serendipity! I sometimes go for long meandering journeys round the internet, following one path after another with no real goal in mind - and sometimes the journey can be very fruitful - as this one has been.

I found Authors.com through a friend of mine. She has a profile here and wanted to share it with me. I've had it linked from my blog for the longest time and finally decided to break down and join.

Noticed a couple of authors posted links elsewhere, so here I am. Fab site! :-)

I've been writing since I was 15.  I actually have a novel that has been in the editing stage for about 10 years now.  I'm just about ready to send it to a publisher. . . although, I've never done this before and I'm not interested in self-publishing.  I also am editing several novels for a few friends who are interested in publishing.  I happened upon this site from a seacrch for author and publishing support.

Welcome to Authors, we have quite a spread of different authors here so I hope you find what you are looking for. Its a great support system when you need it.

Kay,

Thanks for the warm welcome! To be honest, I'm not quite sure how I found my way here. Most probably, from reading an article on someone's site. All I know is that I'm glad to be here!

Hello everyone.  I'm afraid I can't remember how I found Authors.com but it may have been a link from Lori Moore.  I arrived in November when I was first looking to self-publish on Kindle, and after a Writers & Artists conference in London (so that might also have provided the idea).

On 18th Nov I had a bit of a trauma and I've found before that these things can drive from your mind what you were doing in the days immediately before.  But I'm back now, having published two ebooks, the first two of the Princelings of the East trilogy, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better.

It's such hard work promoting the books though!

Hi, I was trying to locate a book that was written by a cousin of mine on my Mom's side that had been written early 1900's. I just typed Authors and the search engines took over

I was invited by an author, Rhonda L. Print! I am an avid reader of paranormal, suspense romance, contemporary romance, and romance with humor. Looks like a great site that I will enjoy browsing through!
